A Weekend Adventure

When life sets up obstacles do you back down or create a new road. That is exactly what we had to do this past weekend. After waiting 8 hours at the airport for our flight to leave we realized all hope was lost of a connecting flight to our final destination Buffalo NY. We could go home and reschedule for a later time possibly next year or rent a car and drive the 11 hour trip. This would get us in at 630am just enough time to close our eyes for a hour then shower to be ready to present until 5pm. We did not even blink “you get the bags I will rent the car”. Off we went on one of the most incredible weekends of our lives. The ride was an adventure in itself. Driving through the Appalachian mountains is not for the faint at heart. We were not prepared for this. Even BLISS could not help in this situation. Coming from NYC I just thought we would be on a highway similar to I-95. The mountains in the middle of the night with heavy fog was not easy. The one blessing was a full moon. We chuckled a full moon is our blessing on Friday the 13th. We arrived and the day went flinestonesbetter than we could anticipate. The energy from the people propelled us to not focus on lack of sleep. A little help from AWAKE around 3pm was a gift. After the event Shannon Goodberry presented us with an amazing gift. Two wine glasses engraved with Today’s Gift – this represents TJs favorite saying  “Yesterday is History, Tomorrow a Mystery, Today is a Gift, That is why it’s called the Present”  and the second glass was engraved with ~ From Bedrock to Orbit city This represent that our company was built 22 years ago before technology and they achieved success today we can incorporate the power of the internet and we can live the life of the Jetsons.   20140614_213319 After the event we enjoyed a small dinner with the leadership council of Buffalo, NY. We went around the table asking each business owner what was something they would be implementing in their business they learned today. We also answered any questions they may have had from the days session. This was a beautiful way to end the day.  When we travel we are always assigned some one that can assist with anything we need. On this trip we had the honor and privileged of meeting Adam Bishop. He is a young entrepreneur that we believe has all the tools needed to become a very successful business owner. He is kind, patient, absorbs information, coach able and committed to his business.

After returning home we came across this post I would like to share it is his overview of the weekend.

Hi Team, “If your mouth is not open, your business is closed” – Michele I had the opportunity and privilege of being Tony and Michele’s “chair shadow” for the day. Dan Herlehy had to leave early from the seminar so Chris O. offered the responsibility to me. For anyone who doesn’t know what the heck a “speaker shadow” is it basically means anytime they need something you have to get it for them. Also, anytime they leave the stage you have to act like their bodyguard and make sure they are good. For example, Tony wanted coffee so I left and ran to a nearby Dunkin Donuts to get him his drink. Let me be the first to tell you that these guys are one of the best couples I have seen in the business. It’s hard to describe via email but even Kt enjoyed the heck out of these guys. We learned so much from them just from the dinner we had with them after the seminar. To have dinner with them until 10:30 at night was welllll worth being their speaker shadow, Anyway… I took 3 pages of notes that helped ME with where I am at. Just know, that YOU may have taken 3 pages of notes that would be completely different than mine. With that said I will share most of what I learned so you can pick what you like and apply it to your business. – Create a domain name and use it. Don’t use your name but it should have a business ring to it. Tony’s was Net2Malls.com – Anyone new you meet ask “Can I send you a link to my website?” Almost 100% they will say yes 1. Then create a customer profile with their email address 2. Follow-Up with an email 3. Send them to their “Trend Shop” – Label the front AND back of catalogs – Use phone number and picture on Shop.com – IDENTIFY YOUR MENTOR (This was huge for me and I realized that maybe someone might not have one) You need a mentor in life, someone to look up to, someone to aspire to be, this person can be your family, celebrity, your sponsor. – “You can’t say the wrong thing to the right person” I love this one and I think it’s spot-on. As long as you sit down with someone and share the information it probably won’t matter what you say. They will either see how amazing what you have to offer is or they won’t. – YOU HAVE TO TRAIN!!! Training is essential to keep your mind sharp and be ready for opportunities come up. Train the plan, train approaches, train on products. It just makes sense. – In order to speak fluent MA 101 you must have attended: 4 UBP’s – $20.00 2 New Distributor Trainings – $30.00 2 Basic 5 – $30.00 1 Local Seminar – $30.00 – When someone asks you what do you do? “I am an Account Manager with Chason Affinity but I… also own an internet franchise” also am a shopping consultant” also am an early retirement specialist” – “It doesn’t matter what works, it only matters what duplicates” – TIP PEOPLE THROUGH EGIFTS. Anyone who does your manicure/ pedicure/ hairdo. Tell them you are a business owner and that you would like to give them a gift. Pick a couple things around $10 and send it to them. THIS WORKS! Amazing idea #MindBlown – Use Fiverr.com to get some graphics ideas. Pay a person $5 to help you design a business card, logo etc… – Search for customers on Twitter. People ask questions on twitter, if you can answer them using the website, do so! I got to start using my Twitter haha – Put stickers on your products so your customers know where to re-order. – Hand-write thank you letters for purchases. It goes a long way. When was the last time someone sent you a handwritten letter? Those are just some of the things I had taken away from the seminar. This is a long email already so I did not go into detail on some of the stuff on purpose. If you want more details on something just call or email me and I would be happy to fill it in.

On Sunday we were taken to Niagara Falls. We were accompanied by Lori Moore-Carden and her daughter Cassie. This was a day we will remember forever. It was the perfect day the weather was absolutely perfect. There was no traffic over the bridge. We ventured to the Canada side to see the falls. We walked around town. Went on the boat ride as close to the falls as humanly possible. Thank you all involved in making this weekend possible. We look forward to “Seeing you all on the floor” at International Convention

Michele Molinaro

I have been a business owner for over 25 years but can say for the first time; “I own my business it doesn’t own me.” I have traded in my Brick and Mortar for a Click and Order. This gives me financial and time freedom. My business is operates 24 hours a day 7 days a week with no employees. I wake up when I am done sleeping and am able to work anywhere in the world there is a WiFi connection.
